The Brattle Group has announced the appointment of Senthuran Rudran as Senior Associate in its London office, bolstering its Antitrust & Competition practice. Rudran, who previously served as Assistant Director of Economics at the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), brings a wealth of experience in antitrust enforcement and merger control to the leading economic consulting firm.
Rudran’s extensive background includes leading Phase I and Phase II merger inquiries and assisting legal counsel in various antitrust investigations. His expertise spans multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals, aviation, rail, broadcast media, and financial technology. Rudran has also worked closely with several key regulatory bodies, such as the UK CMA, the European Commission, and the US Federal Trade Commission, providing him with a broad understanding of competition law across national and international jurisdictions.
“Senthuran’s deep experience at the CMA, particularly within both the economics and remedies teams, will be invaluable to our clients dealing with complex merger transactions and competition investigations,” said Dr. Peter Davis, Principal and Co-Leader of Brattle’s European Competition Practice. “His expertise will strengthen our position as a leading firm for competition economics in the UK market.”
Rudran joins Brattle’s established team of economists and finance specialists, which includes experts based in London, Paris, Spain, and Rome. The firm’s competition team has significant experience advising clients on a wide range of matters, including merger control procedures, competition investigations, abuse of dominance cases, and anticompetitive agreements. Brattle’s UK team has developed a strong reputation for its work on high-profile cases across Europe, including market investigations and state aid issues.
The addition of Rudran comes as Brattle seeks to further deepen its expertise in the UK competition and regulatory space. The London office’s partners include Dr. Pinar Bagci, Principal and Co-Leader of the European Competition Practice, alongside Dr. Davis and Dr. Can Çeliktemur. Together, they lead a team known for delivering insightful economic analysis and strategic advice to clients navigating complex regulatory environments.
“I’m excited to transition into consulting with Brattle’s recognized experts in antitrust and competition economics,” said Rudran. “I look forward to working with Pinar, Peter, Can, and the broader team across geographies to support clients with their merger control and antitrust enforcement needs.”
Rudran’s appointment highlights Brattle’s continued expansion in Europe and commitment to providing clients with top-tier economic insights and strategic support. His joining is expected to enhance the firm’s ability to address the evolving challenges in competition policy, particularly in relation to mergers, antitrust investigations, and regulatory scrutiny. With his wealth of experience and Brattle’s deep bench of competition experts, the firm is poised to further solidify its leadership in the global competition consulting market.
