Wrexham AFC has announced a partnership with global technology giant Meta Quest, who will serve as the official back-of-shirt sponsor for the men’s and women’s teams through the 2025/26 season. The partnership was unveiled today as players arrived at the STōK Cae Ras ahead of their match against Huddersfield Town, donning Meta Quest 3 mixed reality headsets. These devices will offer players a range of immersive experiences, from watching films on a giant screen while travelling to matches to engaging in virtual training sessions.
The partnership will see the Meta Quest name and logo prominently displayed on the back of the players’ kits during all home and away matches. Co-Chairmen of Wrexham AFC, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, expressed their enthusiasm about the collaboration. “We’re so excited to welcome Meta Quest as our back-of-shirt sponsor,” they said. “Meta Quest allows you to immerse yourself in new worlds and experiences and is all about connection—something that resonates with us at Wrexham AFC. The new partnership coincides with the recent launch of the Meta Quest 3S, an affordable headset boasting the same mixed reality capabilities as the Meta Quest 3, starting at $299.99 USD / £289.99. The Quest 3S is compatible with a library of thousands of apps and games available on the Quest platform.
