Amorepacific has been named a CES 2025 Innovation Award Honoree for its groundbreaking makeup application, ‘WANNA-BEAUTY AI,’ marking the sixth consecutive year the company has received this prestigious recognition. The award highlights Amorepacific’s leadership in beauty technology and artificial intelligence.
The ‘WANNA-BEAUTY AI’ app, which uses generative AI, has been acknowledged in the AI category for its innovative approach to personalized makeup experiences. The voice-activated chatbot offers users a tailored makeup consultation, allowing them to discover their ideal looks with virtual try-ons. Through a detailed analysis of users’ skin tones, facial features, and proportions, the app provides precise makeup recommendations based on data from professional makeup artists. In addition, users can try on makeup virtually, even experimenting with looks created by others.
Developed in collaboration with KAIST, the South Korean research university, the patented AI technology combines Amorepacific’s expertise in image diagnosis with advanced AI image generation, delivering a highly personalised and user-friendly makeup experience. The ‘WANNA-BEAUTY AI’ app will be showcased at the Venetian Expo Innovation Awards Showcase at CES 2025.
In addition to its award-winning app, Amorepacific is set to unveil several new beauty technologies at this year’s CES. One of the key highlights will be the ‘AI Skin Analysis & Care Solution,’ which will be integrated into Samsung Electronics’ ‘MICRO LED Beauty Mirror.’ The solution provides an advanced, dual-layered skin analysis system, using both camera-based optical diagnosis and contact-type skin analysis. It offers users an in-depth understanding of their skin’s condition and provides personalised care recommendations, showcasing a new era of AI-driven skincare.
Amorepacific will also introduce the ‘Skin Light Therapy 3S,’ a new skincare device from its beauty brand makeON. The device, scheduled for release in March 2025, works alongside the ‘AI Skin Analysis & Care Solution’ through a dedicated app. This seamless integration aims to enhance users’ skincare routines with targeted treatments that are tailored to their individual needs.
Kyungbae Suh, Chairman of Amorepacific Group, will be attending CES 2025 to view the company’s Innovation Awards showcase and explore the new technologies on display. During the event, Suh will also visit exhibitions from various sectors and meet with Giovanni Valentini, President of Amorepacific North America, to discuss the brand’s ongoing business development in the region.
Amorepacific’s continued focus on cutting-edge AI and beauty technologies underscores its commitment to delivering innovative, personalised skincare and makeup solutions for customers worldwide. The company’s efforts are setting a new standard in the beauty industry, blending traditional skincare expertise with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence.
